User Guide

Text Size: Adjust the base font size using a slider.
Font Family: Select from bundled fonts (System Default, Serif, Monospace) or any font file you have loaded via the Font Manager.
Line Height Multiplier: Fine-tune vertical spacing between lines. Default is 1.0×.
Text Padding: Horizontal and top padding inside the reader viewport.
Reader Type: Toggle between Scroll (continuous vertical scroll) and Paginated (horizontal swipe page flip).
Paginated Swipe: Enable or disable horizontal swipe for page turns when Paginated mode is active.
Lock Rotation: Pin the reader to portrait or landscape regardless of device orientation.
Show Progress Bar: Display a slim progress indicator at the top of the reader showing chapter completion.

Reading Aids

Bionic Reading: Bolds the dominant characters of each word to accelerate reading comprehension.
Author Notes Filter: Automatically collapse or highlight author note sections within chapters.
Selectable Text: Allow long-press to select and copy text. Stored under ReaderPrefs.TEXT_SELECTABLE.
Dictionary Lookup: Enable tap-to-lookup for highlighted words using the system dictionary.
Volume Button Scroll: Use physical volume up/down keys to scroll in place of touch.
Replace Words: A user-defined text substitution system. Enable to apply your configured word replacement rules when rendering chapter text.

Overlay & HUD

Battery Indicator: Show device battery percentage in the reader overlay.
Clock Display: Show the current time. Toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour format.
Keep Screen Active: Prevents the device screen from sleeping while a chapter is open.
Reading Timer: Displays an elapsed reading-session timer anchored to either chapter open time or first scroll event.

TTS Speed: Playback speed multiplier from 0.5× to 3.0×.
TTS Pitch: Voice pitch from 0.5× to 2.0×.
Sleep Timer: Auto-stop TTS playback after a configurable number of minutes.
Language / Voice: Select the synthesis engine language code and a specific system voice.

From Language: Source language of the chapter text.
To Language: Target language for the on-device ML Kit translation.
Remember Translation State: Remember the translated state of chapter even when you close the app.
Translation Engine: Choose translation provider from Google Offline ML-kit, Google Online translation, Yandex translation, and more engines coming soon.
